The central beaches along the Promenade des Anglais are pebble beaches, not sand. Bring water shoes if stones bother you. For smaller coves and different shorelines, look toward Villefranche-sur-Mer, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat or Cap-d’Ail.
No large castle survives on Colline du Château. People go for the park, waterfall and views over the Baie des Anges and Port Lympia. You can climb by stairs or use the free lift near Rue des Ponchettes when it is operating.
Not necessarily. Trains make Monaco easy, while Èze village needs a bus or a connection from Èze-sur-Mer. A tour is useful when you want both places in half a day, commentary and no timetable planning.
Many leave from Port Lympia in Nice, but some snorkeling and coastal trips start in Villefranche-sur-Mer or another nearby harbour. Check the meeting point before paying; the title alone does not guarantee a central Nice departure.
No. Both are full-day outings with substantial travel time, especially in summer traffic. Saint-Tropez is also reached by seasonal boat services. Book them for the destination itself, not as a quick extension of a city break.
The strongest local choices are Old Town and Castle Hill walks, food and Bellet wine experiences, coastal cruises around Villefranche, perfume workshops and day trips along the Riviera. Nice itself does not offer sandy resort beaches or a surviving hilltop castle.
